Prajakta Koli was born on 27th June 1993 in thane, Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a “marathi” family. She belongs to “Koli” caste (the Original fishermen community in Maharashtra). Her zodiac sign is Cancer. Currently she is 25 years old (as of August 2018).
The YouTube Star is 5 feet 4 inches tall with black hair and beautiful brown eyes. She weighs 55 kg with body measurements of 32-26-34.
Her father’s name is “Manoj Koli” and mother’s name is “Archana Koli”, a school teacher by profession. Prajakta has tattooed both her parents name on her back. She also has an elder brother “Nishant Koli”.
She did her schooling from “Vasant Vihar High School”, Thane, Mumbai, and her graduation in BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media) from “V. G. Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce”, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Few days after her college’s final year exams, she got an internship at “Fever 104 FM studios”, Mumbai. Being a Radio Jockey was her childhood dream and passion but eventually she felt it to be less independent and the passion seems to be wearing off.
After 9 month there, she got to present the late night show as an RJ for 3 months.
It is during this period she met Hritik roshan, who visited the studio for the promotion of his film “Bang Bang”.
Prajakta shot a series of funny videos with the actor. Prajakta describes them as lame but “Sudeep Lahiri” from “One Digital Entertainment” thought they were funny.
He later suggested her to start a YouTube Channel and make videos. Which she now consider as a life altering advice and decision.

Her first video “5 types of singles on Valentine’s Day” came out around 4 year back on February 12 2015. Around October 2016 she reached the milestone of 1, 00,000 subscribers.
And today she consistently posts 3 videos a week and has uploaded around 461 videos in total, viewed and cherished by her 2.76 million “DumDums” (subscribers), a feat that seems untouchable by any other female comic at this time.
She is an avid book reader and try to read at least one book in a month. Some of her absolute favourites are “The Diary of a Young Girl” by “Anne Frank” and “Norwegian Wood” by author “Haruki Murakami”.
Some of the other books she has read amidst her hectic schedule are “Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out – Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person” by “ Shonda Rhimes”, “Modern romance an investigation” by “Aziz Ansari and Eric Klinenberg”, “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind” by “Yuval Noah Harari”, and “Turtles All the Way Down” by “John Green”.
She is in relationship with “Vrishank Khanal”, a law professional, for the last 4-5 years. Vrishank is of Nepalese ancestry and hence a little bit of Nepali language is rubbed on Prajakta.
Her channel “MostlySane” is amongst the 47 creators selected from all over the world as the “YouTube Creators for Change program” Ambassadors in 2018.
She and two other creators from India (“Girliyapa” and “Niharika Nim”) were selected as the Indian ambassadors to speak for social issues.
In 2016, on World Mental Health Day, she initiated her campaign (#iPledgeToBeMe) to spread awareness regarding Body Shaming and in March 2017 she made her debut music video “Shameless” addressing the issue.
The song was written and presented by Prajakta herself and features many well-known artists like Raftaar, Raghav Juyal, Sahil Khattar , Mithila Palkar , RJ Malishka, Gaurav Gera and Sonal Sagaraya.
Prajakta is also part in 3 episodes of “P.A.Gals (Poonam Apartments Girls)” season-1 in “Girliyapa’s” youtube channels web series. She was announced as the ‘Viral Queen’ of the year 2017 at the “IWM (Indian Wiki Media) Digital Awards.
As for her future projects she will be doing a lot more collaboration with many fellow YouTubers like BB Ki Vines, BeYouNick and Ashish Chanchalani among others, apart from her “Types of XYZ” funny videos. She believe collaborations break the monotonic tone of a channel and gives fresh content to be cherished by her fans.
